Eat the food you love again! After your dental implant treatment.
Whether you have one tooth missing, several or a complete set, Dr Nguyen, Dr Jeal and the team at Waterford Smile Co are passionate about restoring not only the teeth of our patients, but their self-confidence too!
If you are embarrassed about a missing single tooth, multiple missing teeth or if you have dentures and feel uncomfortable when chewing or avoid certain foods in case your dentures slip or pop out, then why not consider Dental Implants.
Dental Implants are basically artificial roots placed into your mouth that support fixed or removable tooth replacements. They are individually designed to look and feel like your natural teeth. In addition, Dental Implants help stop bone loss by replacing the lost roots which helps save the rest of your teeth too!
Why do people opt for dental implants?
When you lose teeth, the bone in your jaw that supported them starts to shrink. The sockets recede, and over time the bone gets smaller and smaller. For many people, this results in a sunken-faced look that could easily have been avoided.
Not only does the bone shrink, but as that process continues, it can result in the shifting of your teeth, leading to a domino effect of tooth loss. While dental restorations like bridges can slow the shifting of teeth, they don’t prevent bone loss and eventually can still result in the same troubles.
Dental implants are able to stop bone loss by replacing the lost roots of your teeth. This means that bone won’t shrink, and you’ll be saving the rest of your teeth as well! By providing a lasting, positive result, dental implants can improve your self-esteem and confidence in your smile and your oral health.

Let’s answer some of your dental implant questions…

What Is A Dental Implant?
Dental implants are small titanium screws that are about the size of the roots of your natural teeth. The dental implant is placed in your jaw and fills the role of your missing root. Implants are threaded on the inside and outside, so once your implant is placed, we are able to finish it with a variety of dental restorations.
Dental implants act a lot like any other permanent surgical material – they integrate with your bone to create an incredibly strong and permanent bond. Just like screws used in other surgeries, titanium is the material of choice due to its excellent ability to integrate with bone.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Dental Implants?
Dental implants are a good option for anyone in good health. In order to place the implant, you must have healthy gums and enough bone below the implant to support it. If either of these are an issue for you, there is a way to treat either of these conditions first before placing an implant.
Does Dental Implant Treatment Hurt?
Many do not experience any pain at all throughout the process. Most people are able to work the next day after each step in the treatment process. If you do experience pain, we are happy to provide adequate pain medication. We are also available for quick follow-up appointments if you’re feeling any unexpected discomfort during the recovery process. We want you to be as comfortable as possible!
One of the biggest benefits of dental implants is that, in most cases, they prevent future pain and complications. Dental implants are a permanent solution that allow you to turn back the clock on your teeth. They’re just like having your real, healthy teeth back.

Call us to book your free, initial consultation. At this appointment, you’ll meet with one of our amazing dental implant dentists. They’ll assess your particular situation and go through all of your treatment options. At this point, we can also help you arrange a CT Scan to ensure there’s enough bone to place a dental implant.
Don’t worry if there isn’t, because our dentists can also perform a bone graft or propose alternate treatment options if not. At your consultation, you can also meet with our patient coordinator to discuss payment plan options. Click here to read more about the financing options we provide.
Once the dentist has your CT Scan results, they can create a custom treatment plan for you. This includes cost, timeline, and expected results. We will have you back in to review this plan and come up with a date to move forward with the treatment. We can also help you finalize payment options at this point.
Am I suitable for dental implants?

Dental Implants are a great option for anyone and can last for over 40 years with good oral hygiene and care. In order to place an implant, you will require healthy gums and have enough bone to support the implant but if you would like a FREE CONSULTATION we can advise you further about treatment options.
Don’t forget we also offer finance plans to cater to all budgets relieving the pressure on payments.
Our finance options allow our patients to make low monthly payments instead of paying for their entire treatment cost upfront. When you come in for a consult, our patient coordinator will provide all the info you need to get started and determine your monthly rate.
The added bonus of using finance is that you can repay the balance whenever you like or in lump sums without any penalty. Got your tax return back or a Christmas bonus? Use it to painlessly make a payment or pay off the balance. They also have loan protection options if your financial situation changes quickly, like a job loss
